Deep in the forest, on the route to the peak, there is a small temple featuring a set of statues. Some are hiding deep in the shadow while some are enjoying the warmth of the early summer sun.

A small local walk to one of the hills surrounding Taipei. The entrance looks a little bit like en entrance to Narnia or Alice in Wonderland world, with the twines hanging down like a curtain.

Elephant mountain in Taipei offers some great walk opportunities. And you will meet some of the locals who know the tracks inside out.
