Make a wish
Hundreds, if not thousands, of visitors set their lanters to the sky, often making wishes. While great fun, the downside is the countless remains of the lanterns stuck on the trees in the surrounding area.

Once released, an army of lanters makes it up to the sky. During the festval, lanterns are released in groups, managed by a shouty guy with a megaphone...
