Pinot & Pizza
When thinking of pizza most of us would think cold, crisp beer. And it is a perfect match. But sometimes, with some nice, crisp base pizzas garnished with white sauce, a bit of chorizo or pepperoni and peppers good, New Zealand Pinot Noir is just the perfect match.
Serve it a little bit cooler than usually to add the refreshing feel you would get from a cold beer and enjoy the flavoursome white sauce (mix of mozzarella, ricotta, some parmesan – or even better some pecorino, garlic and a pinch of salt) complemented by the crisp Pinot Noir (e.g. Marlborough Riverby Estate). With the white base and some stronger cheese light reds are just a perfect match. Add some peppers and chorizo on the pizza for more juicy experience and enjoy!
