Dragon Bridge to the Island of the Three Immortals

Sansiantai Bridge (三仙台跨海步橋) in Taitung connects the mainland with a small outcrop of land. It's a beautiful structure with eight archers that resemble a Chinese dragon. Photogenic even at the windiest, cloudiest and wettest of all days.

Got to love the pineapple structure. Maybe not the tallest structure any more - but hey, isn't it kind of cheating to compare something like this that is standing on the ring of fire to a stable-grounded needle in the middle of a desert? Come on Dubai, at least try to build it on some moving sands to have some fair comparison...

Elephant mountain in Taipei offers some great walk opportunities. And you will meet some of the locals who know the tracks inside out.
