The famous - and rather busy in peak season - Tongariro Crossing. A steady stream of tourists making their way down the slippery slope towards the Green Lake. The Blue Lake in the photo does not look as blue - or impressive - from a close distance. The best view is offered from the less travelled path towards the Tongariro peak. from this viewpoint you also see how insignificantly small and fragile the little human ants look...
