Even in Singapore there are places that the protective government does not want you to see. Though no shots were fired upon us, a short stop in one of the districts of Singapore felt like trespassing and disrespecting the privacy of the local residents. Indeed, it felt like walking into their bedroom - or more aptly - laundry rooms...
from the MRT train it looked like the whole population just decided to surrender - 'white flags' of any type and sort were used...
Green for Monday; Red for Tuesday, ...
we could not stop thinking of the saying 'to wash dirty laundry in public' - the colour coded underwear for each day of the week must have helped social bounding and community building!
